V12 migration report

Design baseline

V11 is frozen as the visual baseline. V12 uses the selected Sunset Istanbul hero background and the larger 16:10 homepage slideshow.

File migration

The legacy inventory contains 188 unique file URLs plus the selected local background. Of these, 175 are classified as site-owned UMD-hosted assets and 13 remain external resources.

The source WordPress export does not contain the bytes for most PDFs, ZIPs, spreadsheets, and images. This environment also cannot directly materialize those legacy UMD-hosted binaries. The full migration target path is therefore already assigned in migration/asset-migration.csv, and scripts/migrate_assets.py will download them on any normal internet-connected machine.

The selected background image has already been copied locally. Legacy assets remain marked pending-download until that script is run; no missing file is being silently treated as migrated.

Asset download verification — completed

The Windows migration pass successfully retrieved all 174 site-owned assets in the migration manifest. The verified payload is 101,338,703 bytes (about 96.6 MiB). A signature check found no obvious HTML/error pages masquerading as PDFs, ZIPs, JPEGs, or PNGs.
